2024年４月３日に台湾東部沖を震源に発生した地震で犠牲になられた方々に深く哀悼の意を表しますとともに、多くの被災された方々へ心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

2011年3月に発生した東日本大震災において、台湾からの多くのご支援が福島県の復興の大きな力となりました。本学におきましても、被災者の方々への医療支援や健康管理など、本学の持つ知見と経験を最大限生かした可能な限りの支援に努めてまいります。

本学では、震災翌年の2012年から台北栄民総医院Taipei Veterans General Hospitalとの原子力災害医療に関する人事交流や会合を続けています。さらに2022年12月29日に国立台湾大学医学院と、医学研究の共同プロジェクト等の更なる推進、学術セミナー等の共同開催、及び学生の交流促進を目的に学術交流協定を締結し、交流を重ねております。

被災された方々の安全と被災地の一日も早い復旧・復興をお祈り申し上げます。

We sincerely express our deepest condolences to victims those who lost their lives and those who have been affected by the earthquake that occurred at the eastern coast of Taiwan on April 3, 2024.

In the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11 2011, the substantial support from Taiwan greatly contributed to the recovery from disaster in Fukushima Prefecture. Here Fukushima Medical University will provide as much support as possible, leveraging our expertise and experience of disaster medicine in health care and health management for the affected individuals.

Since 2012, the year following the earthquake, the Fukushima Medical University has maintained human exchanges and global conference with Taipei Veterans General Hospital regarding nuclear disaster medicine. Furthermore, the Fukushima Medical University signed on the agreement with the National Taiwan University College of Medicine to further promote joint projects in medical research, global academic conference, and facilitate student exchanges programs with the aim of enhancing mutual collaboration on December 29, 2022.

We pray for the safety of people in Taiwan and for the recovery and reconstruction of the disaster-affected areas.
