Main Activities

The Fukushima Society of Medical Science was established in 1951 with the purpose of contributing to the advancement and development of medical science and healthcare, and to extend their reach.
The main activities of the society are issuance of a journal, commendation of the Fukushima Society of Medical Science Award, and holding academic research conferences.
The society's journal Fukushima Journal of Medicine Science is also posted on MEDLINE and is internationally recognized.
Since the Fukushima Society of Medical Science Award were first launched in 1989, 100 people and 4 organizations have received the award, all of whom are currently active at the forefront of medicine.
