教室紹介

 疫学講座は2013年8月1日に開設された新しい講座です。福島県では、2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災とその後の東京電力福島第一原発の事故を受け、県民の健康状態を把握し、疾病の予防・早期発見、そして将来にわたる県民の健康の維持、増進を図ることを目的とし、「県民健康調査」を実施しています。当講座では「県民健康調査」の実施・解析の支援を行うとともに、生活習慣病やストレス関連疾患等に関する様々な疫学研究を他大学とともに共同研究を行っています。当講座においては、単に調査結果を分析するのではなく、地域や関連機関との連携のもとに、調査結果を十分に地域に還元し、地域住民の健康管理に役立てることを使命と考えています。

研究活動

 

 当講座では、「県民健康調査」における「健康診査」、「こころの健康・生活習慣調査」等の実施・解析の支援を行うことに加え、放射線被爆、および避難等による身体心理社会的ストレスの増大とがん、循環器疾患等の発症・死亡との関連を疫学的に検討します。また、秋田、大阪等の地域住民を対象として50年以上疫学研究を実施しているCirculatory Risks in Communities Study (CIRCS)の構成メンバーとして、脳卒中、虚血性心疾患を始めとする循環器疾患、高血圧、糖尿病等の生活習慣病の疫学研究を実施しています。特に、疾患の危険因子の分析に関しては、身体的な危険因子だけでなく、心理社会的ストレス、生活習慣等に注目し、その介入方法まで視野に入れた実践的疫学研究を行っています(詳しくは教室HPを参照して下さい)。

 

教育活動

 

  「県民健康調査」およびそれを基にした県民の健康管理は、今後数十年に渡って実施していかなければならないものです。したがって、疫学調査、健康管理に関わる臨床、地域における医師、保健師、看護師、放射線技師、臨床検査技師、栄養士等の医療スタッフおよび医学部生等の大学生、大学院生に幅広く疫学に関する講義・セミナー等を提供しています。
学内では、医学部4年生への「疫学」の授業、及び衛生、公衆衛生、疫学実習を担当しています。また、大学院博士課程の「総合人間学特論」、共同大学院修士課程の「疫学」の授業、他、大学院博士課程の「疫学・社会健康医学」における特論、演習等を担当しています。
