COVID-19 survey (ENG)

“Survey on behavior changes among the general public in the wake of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic”

Principle investigator: Kohta Suzuki (Aichi Medical University)
Collaborators: Aya Goto (Fukushima Medical University) and Chihaya Koriyama (Kagoshima University)

This study aims to understand how people changed the perception of the disease and daily practices accordingly in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have first started an anonymous mail survey which randomly targets residents in Fukushima, Tokyo, Aichi and Kagoshima. In this survey, we ask questions to know their attitude towards COVID-19, prevention practices, information sources including social media platforms. In the hope that this study can contribute to disease prevention, we plan to expand this survey to neighboring countries in Asia.

Here is a message from the survey coordinator in Vietnam.
"A long border and active trades with China put Vietnam at a high risk for the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the country had successful outcomes with a modest budget for community prevention against the disease. In the light of this success, our survey concerning health literacy and prevention measures taken among Vietnamese adults would provide useful information for the continuous prevention efforts."
