理学療法学科の阿部准教授らが執筆した研究論文が公開されました。
脳卒中後の意欲低下と関連する病巣部位を解明
本研究は、脳卒中患者147名を対象に、脳卒中後の意欲を評価する指標であるVitality Indexと脳病変部位との関連を明らかにすることを目的として実施されました。最新の病巣症状マッピング手法を用いて解析を行い、年齢の影響を統計的に補正したうえで検討した結果、左半球深部白質の損傷がVitality Indexの低下と有意に関連していることが明らかになりました。
この深部白質領域は皮質脊髄路（corticospinal tract）および上縦束（superior longitudinal fasciculus）の走行領域と一致しており、さらに運動麻痺および失語の重症度がVitality Indexと関連することも確認されました。
本研究の成果は、脳卒中後の意欲低下の神経基盤を示すものであり、リハビリテーションにおける予後予測や治療戦略の検討に新たな視点を提供する可能性があります。
